New Salem Church
New Salem Church continues to make an impact in the lives of individuals, in our community, as well as
in our world.  We are a family, excited about growth taking place in the lives of our family members.  We
seek to guide believers to discover and fulfill their life's purpose in God's Kingdom, through ministry and
mission of New Salem. Our ministry is the strengthening and maturing of the body of Christ in all areas
of life.  Our mission is:

"Developing wholesome relationships to disciple the world for Christ."
Ephesians 4:12-13

Read how New Salem Church has affected some of the people that attend:
Christine and I go to New Salem Church because it fulfills our spiritual needs.  We love Pastor
Chris and the congregation feels like an extended family.  The sermons are Bible based and
thought provoking. We truly feel at home.

It's where God goes to church!

Most of my Christian life I have sat in main stream protestant churches with issue oriented
sermons and Sunday School lessons.  I hungered for more than I was listening too.  More of
what the Word was calling me to or comforting me with and believable application.  New Salem
is refreshing in that, while you read the Word at home, you hear it explained every Sunday in
ways that you desire to have it impact your life.

I love New Salem because you receive enough hugs and hand shakes to last you through the
week along with another great Word centered lesson on Wednesday evenings.  I tell people
when they ask; “It is like taking two giant vitamin pills a week.”

From the first time I walked in the door, I loved the preaching at New Salem--it was the word from
God.  The sermons come from the bible, and Pastor Chris relates the message to our lives most of
the time......

I feel at home and the people are just amazing.  They are part of our Family.  They are always there
when anyone is in need.

Our church is old and small but we don't go to church because its a beautiful church or they
have free coffee--we go because the word of GOD is spoken and preached here.At New Salem, we
give him all the praise and want people to build a relationship with God and know how to do that
by the word.

Our church family is continuing to grow and we welcome all to join a church that prays and stays
together.  Do you really want to hear the true word of GOD? Then this is the Church U need .....in
your life...

I drove by New Salem for three years. The parking lot was always full, and it seemed like there
was a lot going on. It peaked my curiosity, but I never actually went to a service until my friend
suggested that I try it out. Now, I wish I started going to New Salem three years earlier. The
sermons challenge me every week, and the people are wonderful.

Recently, my husband and I found out that his job was relocating to FL. We considered
moving, but part of the reason that we stayed was because of New Salem. Sometimes it is
hard to find a church that you feel comfortable in, and once you do, it is hard to leave.

We moved to Pittsboro from Clayton where C3 is one of the fastest growing churches in NC.  They
could advertise a huge new building, an amazing praise team, booming children's ministry, a coffe
shop and library, and a great pastor.  So if you are considering New Salem you might wonder why
we would choose this relatively small church.  First let me say that Pastor Chris is amazing.  I
learn more about the Bible each week than I ever thought you could in an hour of preaching.  If
you want to keep your faith "real", Pastor Chris will hit home.  Also the people at New Salem are
real.  They are friendly, accepting and genuinely there for God.  We are working hard to develop
the choir, praise team, grow our children's ministry, and impact the community in a variety of
ways.  But those programs are bonuses.  If you want great preaching and a family of believers,
New Salem is the home for you!
