New Salem Church
Conquering Addiction

Many of us are caught in the never-ending cycle of guilt, shame and isolation related to habits, hurts & hang-ups.  We
are ensnared by substances and behaviors and need the freedom only Christ can bring.

Our Recovery Ministry is a Christ centered, twelve step process of repentance based on biblical principles from the
New Testament which have been taught since the time of Christ. You may recognize these from  AA groups; the
difference being these twelve steps are also a path toward sanctification as a Christian.

The Journey of Recovery
A New Testament

If you feel the pain of addiction, whether it's you or someone you love, and whether it involves alcohol, drugs, sex,
eating habits, gambling or feeling like it's your responsibility to fix these problems in other people, this journey will
help.

Come fellowship, you'll hear stories of real people who have struggled with destructive addictions and compulsions,
but who have found hope. You'll also learn that the source of hope is in the New Testament. No matter how bad things
may seem, remember, there's hope for all of us! 1
