OUR BELIEFS
We believe in one God, creator of all things.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Second Person of the Trinity.
Eternally begotten from the Father, He is God.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Trinity,
which indwells and sanctifies all believers.
We believe the universe was created in six historical days and is
continuously sustained by God. Human beings were created, not
evolved, in the image of God.
We believe that the Bible, though written by men, was supernaturally
inspired by God so that all its words are the true written revelation of
God; it is therefore inerrant in the originals and authoritative in all
matters.
We believe that Adam, the first man, willfully disobeyed God, bringing
sin and death into the world.
We believe the Jesus Christ died on the cross in full substitution for
the sins of all. He was buried, and on the third day arose from the
dead.
We believe that each person can be saved through faith in Jesus
Christ as their Savior.
We believe that a church is a local assembly of baptized believers,
organized to evangelize, teach, and administer the ordinances of
believers baptism and the Lord's Table.

Chris Gambos has served as senior pastor of New Salem Church since
2003. He has earned BA in Biblical studies from Liberty University,
Lynchburg, VA and MA in Counseling from Southeastern Baptist
Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, NC.
Pastor Chris is originally from Steubenville, OH. After graduation he joined
the navy, and served four years. He continued his service in the army
national guard for two years while studying at Liberty University.
It wasn't until after his time in the navy that Chris desired to go into the
ministry and accept the call of God in his life.
He has worked in many fields in the secular realm, such as construction,
maintenance, painting. He enjoys basketball, white water rafting, theology,
and a good debate.

Wesley Thomas is Associate Pastor/Youth Pastor at New Salem Church. He
has been serving in this ministry since January 2008. Pastor Wesley was
ordained to the pastoral ministry on September 28, 2008. He also leads the
Celebrate Recovery Program each Sunday evening.
He will receive a Bachelor in Christian Studies and Pastoral Ministry from
the College at Southeastern in December 2008.

Children's Ministry
Tanya Haley
Tanya attended NC State University, and then completed the Dental
Assisting program at Wake Tech in 1998. She served as the Clinic
supervisor for an orthodontic practice in Cary for 8 years.
She got saved in 2001, and became an active member of New Salem
Church. Tanya is currently the Treasurer and is also responsible for the
Children's Ministry. She does a great job with the Children's program. As a
result, the children enjoy their time at New Salem Church.
Tanya lives in Pittsboro with her husband and their 3 children.
